Bremsstrahlung by static charges outside a static black hole ?

We show that in complete analogy with the usual bremsstrahlung process, when studied from the coaccelerated observer's point of view, a charge moving along the integral curves of the static Killing eld in the exterior of a static black hole gives rise to the emission of zero-energy photons, induced by the thermal bath of Hawking Radiation.

Mimimal Length Uncertainty Principle and the Transplanckian Problem of Black Hole Physics

The minimal length uncertainty principle of Kempf, Mangano and Mann (KMM), as derived from a mutilated quantum commutator between coordinate and momentum, is applied to describe the modes and wave packets of Hawking particles evaporated from a black hole. The transplanckian problem is successfully confronted in that the Hawking particle no longer hugs the horizon at arbitrarily close distances....

High-energy black hole production

Black hole production in high-energy collisions is briefly surveyed. Included is a summary of recent developments and open problems relevant to collider (LHC) production, as well as of some theoretical issues pointing towards fundamental principles of quantum gravity.

Black hole production and large extra dimensions.

Black hole (BH) production at colliders is possible when the colliding energy is above the Planck scale, which can effectively be at TeV scale in models of large extra dimensions. In this work, we study the production of black holes at colliders and discuss the possible signatures. We point out the " ij-->BH+others" subprocesses, in which the BH and other standard-model particles are produced w...

Extra Dimensions and Black Hole Production a

If nature realizes T eV scale gravity, we are entering a very exciting period in which we could be able to address, experimentally, some questions on quantum gravity, strings, branes and other exotic aspects of the fundamental theory of gravity. This article reviews recent development in models with Large Extra Dimensions and Black hole production at future colliders. Experimental results from ...
